From conversation to delegated work
Google says Gemini Live is integrating with Spark so a user can describe a multi-step job aloud and allow it to continue in the background. Spark can work across Docs, Sheets, Drive and the web while retaining the goal over days or weeks.
The update also adds a spoken Daily Brief that summarizes Gmail and Calendar, plus hands-free inbox operations. These features move voice interaction from answering questions toward actions that can change files, schedules and communications.
The convenience and the boundary
A voice request is fast but can be ambiguous. Before an agent deletes mail, sends a message or edits a shared document, it should present the interpreted scope, affected resources and a reversible preview. Sensitive actions need stronger confirmation than reading a summary.
Personal Intelligence can make answers more useful by drawing on past chats and connected-app data. It also expands the information available to the assistant, making account connection settings, retention and least-privilege access central product choices rather than background configuration.
How teams should adopt it
Start with read-only briefs or a bounded document workflow. Track corrections, accidental scope expansion, time saved and how easily users can inspect and cancel a running task. Keep approval for external communication and destructive actions.
