What changed
ChatGPT can now connect more than one Google account for Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Contacts. OpenAI's example is a conversation that checks work and personal calendars together or searches email across separate inboxes.
The feature is listed for supported Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans on web, desktop, iOS and Android. OpenAI describes global availability, while noting elsewhere that apps can still vary by region, surface and managed-workspace policy.
The useful workflow
The clearest benefit is cross-account planning without manual copying. A user can compare availability, find a message in the correct inbox or resolve a contact while keeping the conversation focused on one task.
The release does not merge Google accounts. Each connection retains the information and permissions available to that Google identity, and ChatGPT's app controls still govern when a connected service can be used.
Account boundaries still matter
A combined answer can make the source account easy to overlook. Users should name the intended work or personal account in consequential requests and verify the originating calendar, contact or message before sending, scheduling or sharing anything.
Managed workspaces may require an administrator to enable the app or approve a domain. Google authorization also does not override a file, message or calendar permission the connected account lacks.
A safe first test
Connect only the services needed, then ask for a harmless item that exists in one account and not the other. Confirm ChatGPT identifies the correct source before relying on a cross-account summary.
