What the connector adds

Grok Bot users can now sign in with an X account and ask a Bot to search public posts, read the connected timeline, inspect mentions or summarize what is happening on the platform. SpaceXAI says it will create an X developer account for users who do not already have one and provide paid Bot users with free API credits to begin.

The release is explicitly described as a first version. The announcement does not publish credit amounts, refresh schedules, complete rate limits or an exhaustive list of write permissions. Teams should confirm those details inside the product and X developer console rather than infer them from a short launch post.

Why social access changes agent risk

A general-purpose agent with authenticated social access can monitor customers and competitors efficiently, but it also joins private account context, public conversation and an autonomous execution environment. A weak prompt or compromised session can expose more than a normal search query.

Begin with read-only research, a dedicated work account and the smallest available scopes. Keep posting, direct messages and account administration outside the agent until a documented use case, approval step and audit log justify broader authority.

A useful first evaluation

Test a bounded brief such as collecting ten posts from a named list, deduplicating claims and linking every item. Measure missed posts, unsupported summaries, API consumption and whether the Bot distinguishes a post's publication date from later engagement.

Follow the AINewsInu homepage and AI Agents hub for connector updates. The integration becomes valuable when it produces a reproducible evidence trail; a fluent trend summary without links, timestamps and account boundaries is too fragile for newsroom or business decisions.
